The Branch Commissioner, Adults in Scouting will work to encourage, promote and improve the expectations and experiences of engaging in Scouting:

  • Provide advice, support and assistance to improve the adult experince of Scouting
  • Provide policy input to matters relating to adult engagement in Scouting and volunteering more generally
  • Promote the benefits that Scouting can provide to adult members
  • Support the adult training program in key areas as required
  • Maintain training and event releated records on branch information systems

The Branch Commissioner Groups will support the ongoing delivery of the Scouts ACT Group Support function. He pulls together expertise from our scouting community and advocates for Scouts ACT to efficiently and effectively manage all matters supporting the operation of Groups in a professional manner.

The Branch Commissioner Group Support North will:

  • Provide assistance, advice and support to the Assistant Chief Commissioner Group Support, especially in regard to areas of providing targeted support to Groups and Group Leaders.
  • Managing data holdings relating to group support activities accordance with branch policy and obligations.
  • Develop and deliver programs within their area of responsibility.
  • Be an advocate and provide support for issues relating to targeted Groups and Group Leaders.

The Branch Commissioner Branch Equipment provides support to the ongoing operations of Scouts ACT and Camp Cottermouth. By working in conjunction with the Camp Managers, maintain camping activities and facilities to enhance the camping experience at Camp Cottermouth.

The Branch Commissioner Branch Equipment will:

  • Provide assistance, advice and support in regard to Branch Equipment and especially equipment located at Camp Cottermouth.
  • Ongoing management of ACT Branch Equipment for the use at Camp Cottermouth and during Major Events at other locations.
  • Prepare and monitor a budget in relation to the maintenance and acquisition of equipment.
  • Maintain a register of ACT Branch equipment held at Camp Cottermouth.

The Branch Commissioner, Branch Assets will manage the ongoing logistical support, management and ensure the availability of key Branch Assets to support the Scouting Program.

The Branch Activity Leader – Heritage Team Leader will lead and manage the ongoing delivery of the Scouts ACT Heritage function:
  • Provide assistance, advice and support to the Branch Commissioner Branch Support, especially in regard to areas of branch related heritage activities
  • Develop and run youth heritage Scout programs, liaising with the relevant Youth Program Branch Commissioners
  • Encourage ACT branch formations to maintain accurate Scouting records
  • Maintain, document, develop and promote the ACT Scout Heritage Museum
  • Give advice and assistance to Scouting formations regarding record keeping, archival and disposal
  • Further develop the existing written and digital history of the ACT Branch
