BSC Challenge 2023

The BSC Challenge is a new activity created by the Branch Scout Council to get more Scouts Units doing joint activities with other Scout Units. 

How to enter:

Organise a joint night, camp or activity with another Scout Unit during Term 4 of 2023 - email the BSC if you need help connecting with other Units.

Take a photo which can be shared on social media and submit it using the method below.


$200 worth of vouchers from an outdoor camping store, to be shared by the winning Units. The winner will be announced at Summer Camp 2024.

How to win:

The BSC Executive will select the winner, based on: 

  • The number of Units involved - at least two but more points for three or more Units

  • How fun the activity looked

  • How creative or unusual the activity was - think outside the box

  • Working together and making friends - activities should encourage working together between Units

  • Demonstrating Scouting skills and values

  • Number of likes received on the Scouts ACT Facebook and Instagram

  • You don’t have to include all these elements, but the more you do the more points you can earn


  • Only open to Scout Units

  • Activity must happen during Term 4, 2023

  • At least a third of the Scouts participating must come from another Unit

  • Activity must be with Scouts from another another Group, and can’t be with a Unit you meet regularly with (e.g. two Units who meet on the same night at the same Scout Hall)

  • Only one entry for each activity, however you can organise as many activities as you want to submit an entry for each of them

  • Photo must be able to be posted online - please check permissions with all participants before submitting

  • Can’t be an annual, major event (e.g. TriLakes, JOTA-JOTI, PACT)
